The Fire-Resistant Finish

PowderShield™ is Fire Safe Cladding’s premium fire-resistant powder coating technology designed to withstand burning ember attack and to prevent the spread of fire.

Unlike other coatings, PowderShield contains no flammable chemicals ensuring it will only char (and not burn or ignite) if exposed to fire.

Designed to withstand extreme Australian conditions, PowderShield offers long-lasting protection not only from fire, but also from UV rays and salt spray. PowderShield™ is applied to all of our aluminium building products to ensure a protective and attractive coating that never needs painting or staining.

Compliance

PowderShield™ has been tested and certified to AS1530.1 and AS1530.3. It is safe to use on products to be installed in bushfire areas.

Colour Range

The PowderShield finishing technology is available in two contemporary colours and four natural-looking woodgrain colours, meaning you’ll never have to sacrifice your building design for safety again.

PowderShield™ Wood

Our PowderShield™ woodgrain colours are created via an innovative photo imaging process that utilises our PowderShield™ powder coating technology and special durable sublimated inks that create the natural looking woodgrain effect. The result is a realistic, durable, low-maintenance timber finish that will never peel or rub off and can be applied to any of our Fire Safe Cladding building products.
